The IDM DXC5200 timeslot cross-connect device provides E1 interfaces, audio interfaces, and V.35 and RS232 data interfaces. The E1 interface operates at a 2.048Mbps line rate with HDB3 line coding, conforming to the ITU-T G.703 standard, and can work in either 75Ω coaxial or 120Ω balanced impedance modes. The audio interface accesses voice services such as telephones, while the V.35 and RS232 interfaces access low-speed data services. The service timeslots of all interfaces are uniformly routed into the 64K cross-connect switching matrix. With channel-associated signaling support, it is suitable for integrating dispersed voice and data services into E1 channels for unified transmission and interworking with existing PCM telephone networks.
